Terms and Conditions
The travel agency Cusco Open Tour provides all users and clients with access to this website, subject to the full and unmodified acceptance of the terms and conditions detailed below.
Website Use
The user declares that they are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and use the website in accordance with the terms and conditions, which they fully understand and accept.
The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of any access information provided by Cusco Open Tour to enter the website.
Prices and Rates
- All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without prior notice.
- Rates are per person, based on double occupancy in standard hotel rooms, and include services, transfers, scheduled tours, professional guides, and entrance tickets (unless otherwise stated).
- Rates do not include extras, tips, airport taxes, airline tickets (unless explicitly stated), excess baggage fees, or any services not specified in the tour package.
- Prices do not include taxes or fees applicable to Peruvian citizens.

Itinerary
Tour itineraries are carefully planned; however, for operational reasons, it may be necessary to alter the order of activities or the programmed route. These changes are made exceptionally and always with the goal of optimizing the travel experience.
Cusco Open Tour reserves the right to modify the order of excursions without prior notice due to weather conditions, logistical issues, or any other circumstance that may require adjustments to ensure the proper development of the trip.
Reservations
- Our platform displays complete information about the services offered, but it does not reflect real-time availability.
- Once a reservation is made, the user will receive an automatic notification. The final status of the reservation will be confirmed via email within a maximum of 48 hours.
- Only reservations made at least 10 days prior to the start date of the service will be processed. Requests made after that period may be declined.
- To confirm a reservation, full payment or a guarantee deposit must be made through our secure platform.
- Confirmation will be sent via email, including a booking and confirmation code.
- Charges will be made to your card only after all services are confirmed.
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to provide accurate and updated contact information.
- Passengers must inform us in advance of their arrival and departure details.
- Services not used by passenger choice during the trip are non-refundable.
Documentation
Each passenger is responsible for carrying a valid passport and/or any required travel documents, including visas according to their nationality.
The following information will be requested at the time of booking:
- Full names and surnames
- Passport number and/or ID
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Dietary restrictions (if any)
- Relevant medical conditions or allergies
Luggage
All passengers are advised to arrive in Peru with travel insurance that covers baggage loss. Cusco Open Tour is not responsible for:
- Lost or delayed baggage during domestic or international flights
- Lost personal belongings
- Items forgotten by guests in hotels, vehicles, or tour sites
We strongly recommend that travelers avoid placing valuables in checked luggage during transfers.
Travel Insurance
We recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, repatriation, and international medical assistance. It is also advisable to consult your doctor regarding vaccinations and health concerns related to international travel.
Payment and Deposit Policy
- For individual travelers, full payment must be completed at least 30 days before the trip’s start date, unless otherwise specified.
- For group reservations, full payment is required 45 days before arrival, along with the full list of passengers.

Child Policy
Special conditions apply only to children under 10 years of age (9 years, 11 months, and 29 days being the maximum age).
Cancellations, Modifications, and Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 60 days in advance will incur a 30% penalty of the total value, plus banking and administrative fees.
- Cancellations made between 31 and 59 days before the travel date will incur a 50% penalty, plus a $25 administrative fee and any additional financial costs.
- Cancellations made 19 days or less before arrival are non-refundable.
- No refunds will be granted for no-shows or cancellations during the trip.
- Open date bookings may be requested at least 60 days in advance (not applicable to Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, or Inca Trail services).
- Inca Trail programs are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Group bookings of more than 10 people may be subject to stricter supplier cancellation policies: up to 35% penalty if canceled more than 90 days in advance, and up to 100% if canceled less than 45 days before the travel date.
Responsibility and Limitations
Cusco Open Tour’s liability for unprovided services due to internal management issues is limited to the refund of the value of the omitted services. We will make every effort to offer an equivalent alternative, subject to availability.
As an intermediary between service providers and clients, Cusco Open Tour is not responsible if a provider ceases operations due to force majeure, insolvency, or other reasons. Refunds will be processed according to Peruvian law in such cases.
Cusco Open Tour accepts no liability for services not rendered due to natural disasters, adverse weather, political unrest, strikes, accidents, or any event beyond our control.
If the passenger’s selected means of transport (plane, train, bus) fails to arrive on time for the start of the tour, neither Cusco Open Tour nor the local tour operator will be responsible for missed services. The tour will begin from the point the passenger joins. Missed portions are non-refundable.
As the services provided are intangible, failure to show up on the scheduled date and time will result in full responsibility and no entitlement to a refund.
